WALK WITH ME: One night everything shattered.

“When the police took him away, I didn’t know if our family would ever be whole again.”

My husband came home from war, but the war didn’t leave him. The VA had him on so many pills, I didn’t recognize the man I married.

One night, everything shattered. He tried to end his life. And for a moment, I thought he’d take us with him. When he was admitted for treatment, I had no support, and no idea where to start—until the Military Veteran Project reached out. They helped us find trauma counseling, and support groups for both of us.

Today, we’re still healing. But we’re healing together. #WalkWithMe #MilitaryVeteranProject #HopeAfterWar
