Why This Program Exists

Every day, veterans across America battle invisible wounds, trauma, depression, chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, moral injury, and the overwhelming challenges of life after service.  Many struggle alone because they cannot access care, don’t know where to start, or feel lost in a system that is overwhelmed to meet all their needs.

The Military Veteran Project’s Veterans Mental Health & Wellness Program was created to close that
gap. We believe that no veteran should navigate the road to recovery alone. Through medical support,
clinical care, peer connection, and community resources, we help veterans rebuild purpose, regain
strength, and rediscover hope.

What the Program Provides

Comprehensive Medical & Mental-Health Support
We connect veterans with providers offering trauma-informed care, behavioral-health counseling,
suicide-prevention treatment, chronic pain management, alternative and adjunct therapies, and civilian
medical specialists when VA access is delayed or denied.

Biochemistry & Wellness Evaluation
Veterans in our program may receive access to biochemistry panels, metabolic testing, inflammation
screening, and evaluations for sleep, hydration, and nutrition.

Peer-to-Peer Connection
Healing happens in community. Veterans meet others who understand their journey — without
judgment.

Purpose-Driven Activities
We help veterans restore identity, meaning, and direction through programs such as Building Hope,
The Restore Project, Flags Forward, Operation Holiday Joy, and community volunteer opportunities.

Family Support & Education
We provide families with crisis education, communication tools, emotional-support resources, and
guidance navigating treatment.

Who This Program Helps
This program is designed for veterans experiencing mental-health challenges, veterans at risk of
suicide, those dealing with chronic pain or trauma, families in crisis, and veterans facing barriers to
accessing care.

How MVP Removes Barriers
Veterans often face long delays, insurance limitations, mental-health stigma, and emotional isolation.
MVP provides resource navigation, connections to trusted providers, crisis case
management, and continuous support.

Impact of the Program
Since 2012, the Military Veteran Project has assisted over 10,000 veterans and families, provided care
in 27 U.S. cities and 4 countries, and delivered life-saving intervention for those most at risk.

Behind every number is a name.
