Military Veteran Project Programs

Empowering veterans through healing, purpose, and community
.

The Military Veteran Project (MVP) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to preventing military suicide through research, treatment, and community connection. Each of our programs addresses a unique part of a veteran’s healing journey—restoring health, rebuilding purpose, and reigniting hope.

Medical Treatment & Wellness

Restoring health, rebuilding lives.
Invisible wounds require more than medication—they need understanding, access, and continuous care. MVP’s Medical Treatment & Wellness Program connects veterans to individualized treatments and resources, utilizing bio-chemistry and lab markers to treat the source, alternative therapies, and holistic wellness options. Through funding and partnerships, we help veterans regain balance—physically, mentally, and emotionally—training them to come home after war.

The Restore Project

Healing the body from within.
The Restore Project is MVP’s nutritional-based initiative focused on teaching veterans how to heal their bodies through balanced nutrition, biochemistry awareness, and healthy lifestyle habits. Through partnerships and with support from donors, this program connects veterans with nutritionists, cooking workshops, and wellness education to support long-term health and recovery.
Learning how food impacts mood, energy, and physical well-being, veterans can rebuild strength from the inside out. The Restore Project reminds us that healing doesn’t just happen in clinics—it begins with a choice to create change in the kitchen, one healthy choice at a time.

“Many veterans never realize how deeply the body and mind are connected — that the food we eat, the water we drink, and the rest we allow ourselves can shape our thoughts, moods, and healing. The Restore Project helps veterans rediscover strength from within, teaching that true wellness begins with nourishing the body to restore the mind.”

Building Hope

Restoring purpose through hands-on healing.
Through our partnership with construction, builders and home improvement stores & local hardware stores, MVP’s Building Hope Program empowers veterans through hands-on building and community projects. From home repairs to garden builds, these activities provide both purpose and peace. Each project gives veterans a chance to reconnect, rebuild, and find fulfillment—proving that healing often begins when purpose is restored.
Resources are provided through partner organizations to connect veterans with the next step of their transition to keep them moving forward with all the necessary support.
“When I first joined the Building Hope Project, I didn’t realize how much I needed it. Working with my hands again, side by side with other veterans and community builders, gave me a sense of purpose I thought I’d lost. Every time we pick up a tool, we’re not just building projects—we’re rebuilding ourselves. The connection, the teamwork, and the pride remind me that healing doesn’t always happen in a clinic; sometimes it happens on a job site surrounded by people who believe in you.”

Military Suicide Awareness

Honoring lives, raising awareness, and saving others.
At the core of MVP’s mission is suicide prevention. Our Military Suicide Awareness Campaign honors the lives of those lost and raises awareness to ensure their stories spark change. Through national awareness efforts, educational outreach, and remembrance spotlights, we connect families, friends, and communities to resources and hope. Awareness saves lives—because behind every statistic is a story that matters.
