The Military Veteran Project is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research & treatments to help cure undiagnosed traumatic brain injury and post traumatic stress for veterans and assist them with 24 hour support.
What does the Military Veteran Project do?
The Military Veteran Project is on a mission to fund research grants while working with the U.S. government to help end Military Suicide. We coordinate our events and other fundraisers, giving thousands of volunteers worldwide a chance to raise money to support lifesaving research. MVP's events has a goal of being one of the largest volunteer-driven fundraising opportunity benefitting research for veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress.

The answer is YES, if you have veterans in your local area struggling with post traumatic stress disorder or traumatic brain injury, chances are, they have been impacted by the Military Veteran Project! Since 2012, Military Veteran Project have assisted and came in contact more than 600,000 veterans worldwide.

Where does the money go?
Since 2012, Military Veteran Project has been able to assist in the medical research & treatments of over 2,000 veterans who have struggled with post traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and suicidal thoughts. Through the partnership with Battles in Distress, 24 hour assistance is made available to veterans in need.
What percentage of my money goes to research?
Of every dollar raised, 98% funds medical treatment & research, 1% goes to fundraising (website, phones, postage, printing, t-shirts, office space, staff, etc.) and 1% goes to administration (accounting, distributing and monitoring grants, etc.). Military Veteran Project takes its responsibility to be efficient and good stewards of every dollar donated very seriously, and strives to put the most funding possible into the hands of medical teams and researchers who can help end suicide.
How can I be sure the Military Veteran Project is a legitimate charity?
The Military Veteran Project is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, IRS identification number 46-0877378. It is also registered in the state of Kansas and every state that requires charitable organizations to register to raise funds. While being a relatively new charity, we have done our best to register and submit information to charity watch organizations and register with the better business bureau. Our board and staff members are committed to the highest standards of ethics and responsibility to donors and volunteers. How did the Military Veteran Project get started?
The Military Veteran Project was created by war widow Melissa Jarboe, who promised her husband, SSG Jamie Jarboe she would carry on his dying wish to care for his fellow service members. What Melissa didn't realize was while she was in the hospital creating routines, programs and therapy for her husband, she incorporated healing for Jamie's PTSD & what began as a small grass roots movement has grown into a strong movement to save the lives of countless veterans who suffer and struggle with invisible wounds.
